Welcome to Churchill Campus, Years 7 - 10
探花社区 Churchill Campus provides outstanding educational opportunities for all students. The tranquil and picturesque setting adjacent to Lake Hyland and its wildlife corridor allows for outdoor activities that are not restricted to a school oval. The campus is within walking distance to sporting fields and the Latrobe Leisure Centre, that are both frequently used by our Physical Education Department. Students have easy access to Federation University Australia, Gippsland Campus where they attend a number of activities including careers days, special presentations and science experiences.
The planned upgrade to the Churchill Campus Science Wing is expected to be complete in early 2019. Students will use state-of-the-art facilities that cater to 21st Century learning.
Churchill Campus is committed to every student having the opportunity to achieve their personal best. Our vision is to create a learning environment where all students and staff are supported to continually learn and grow.
Our pillars of Work Ethic, Excellence, Relationships and Engagement are the characteristics we value in all members of our school community. We believe they will equip students with the skills and attitudes enabling them to be productive and responsible global citizens.
Our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) matrix provides a framework for teaching the expected behaviours in all settings, both in the school and in the community.
School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)
SWPBS is a whole- school framework which provides schools with a systematic approach to promote both improved behaviour and school culture, while increasing academic performance. This is guided by a college matrix developed by staff and students. This matrix is visible in every classroom across the college and is used as the basis for rewarding students when they exhibit the expected behaviours.
